On December 12, 15.00-16.00 hrs, there will be a special LIGA seminar on

Methodological challenges and opportunities in complex genetics

by Manuel Mattheisen, MD, from University of Aarhus. The seminar will take place in the LIGA seminar room (MFC1, 4th floor, Rm 4.26).

Manuel currently holds an appointment as Associate Professor in the Dept of Biomedicine at University of Aarhus. He is part of the data analysis teams of the Psychiatric Genomics Consortium (PGC) and the Lundbeck Foundation Initiative for Integrative Psychiatric Research (iPSYCH) where he has gained substantial experience in aggregating and meta-analyzing diverse complex genomics data sets from multiple independent sites. In his presentation he will talk about the challenges and opportunities of consortia-driven genomics research and the application of specific methodologies in this setting, e.g. polygenic risk score analysis and LD-score regresssion. The target audience of this seminar will be analysts of complex trait genomics data.
